About Sarah
Sarah A. Combs is a writer, director, researcher and lover of books, theatre, music and nature. She lives in the beautiful mid-Hudson Valley of New York and spends her time writing, researching, directing, cooking and hiking with her husband and dog. She loves reading and writing historical and YA fiction and anything related to the performing arts.
Sarah worked as a professional actress starring in off-Broadway productions, regional theatre, and daytime dramas, before focusing her attention on teaching and directing high school theatre. Sarah is the recipient of the 2017 Best of the Hudson Valley Teacher of the Year Award.
She is a member of Actors’ Equity, holds a BFA in musical theatre performance from the University of Cincinnati (CCM) and a MA in theatre education from Empire State College. Sarah is the Vice President of the Sharon Playhouse, where she continues to direct plays and musicals.
Sarah A. Combs is the author of Theatre Ghost, a middle grade, paranormal novel which inspired her latest work in progress, False Face, False Heart, a historical fiction paranormal novel for young adults.
